BB – 3 You Were Personally Chosen By God

Lesson #3

SALVATION BELONGS TO OUR GOD:

Revelations. 7:10

and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

NOW THE CONCERN IN NOT WHAT YOU WERE; NOW CONCENTRATE ON WHAT YOU WILL BECOME.

SALVATION DID NOT HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT;

God initiated the first plan. He chose you before your birth; He chose you because He loved you.

Deuteronomy 7:6-9 (NKJV)

6 "For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

Romans 9:10-12 (NKJV)

10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac 11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), 12 it was said to her, "The older shall serve the younger."

Ephesians 1:4 (NKJV)

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

WHY DID GOD CHOOSE YOU?

God did not choose you because you were good or bad, tall or short, or because of your looks; He chose you by His mercy and grace. Some He chose for a special time, place, work, or calling, and He has a special plan for your life.

THOUGHT GOD CHOSE YOU FOR HIMSELF, HE GAVE YOU A FREEDOM OF CHOICE.

You also must choose God. He will not force you to choose Him. He has paid for your Salvation, but you must choose to accept it.

Titus 3:5 (NKJV)

5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 2 Timothy 1:9 (NKJV) 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

HOW DID YOU REALLY COME TO JESUS?

The Father by the Holy Spirit drew you to Jesus! You submitted to the Holy Spirit’s drawing.

John 6:44

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

HOW DID JESUS GET YOU?

The Father gave you to Jesus!

John 6:37

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

THE FATHER HAND-PICKED YOU.

God already knew about you before you were born and He wanted and chose you.

1 Peter 1:1-2 (NKJV)

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

John 15:16 (NKJV)

16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

BE SATISFIED WITH WHO YOU ARE --- GOD IS.

Romans 9:20 (NKJV)

20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, "Why have you made me like this?"

Psalms 139:14 (NKJV)

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

TRUST GOD WITH YOUR LIFE!

You can’t live a God-like life by your own efforts and deeds. You can only live the God-like life by trusting in God and depending on his Grace.

John 1:16 (NKJV)

16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

GOD HAS A TAILOR-MADE PLAN FOR YOU.

The plan He has for your life is exactly right for you. It will unfold as you walk with Him.
